Overview:
Make a $50 deposit now to purchase a quarter of a beef, your deposit will go towards the purchase price of the beef. A quarter of a beef after full processing will be roughly 70-90lbs of finished cuts. We will split up the cuts from the whole half into roughly equal quarters. For those new to this the beef cuts are identical across the two halves, but the front quater is different from the hind quarter:) So our processors will split up the cuts from the whole half so you each get some cuts from the front and some from the hind quarter....Phew...that's a lot!!! But don't worry we will make it very easy for you to understand as you go through the process.
Pricing: With no discounts your price per lb. of finished cuts of meat will average $12 - $13.50 / lb across your steaks, roasts, and ground beef. The variation in price is often due to your choice of cuts and packaging.
It is by far the best way to buy Grass-Finished High End Lean Beef right from our farm near you:) If you wish to split your order with a neighbor or family member we can help with that too!
We will notify you of the processing date and will call to help you choose how you want the meat processed according to your custom requests. We will request full payment at that time. See below for the cost breakdown.
Animals vary in weight so your final price can vary slightly but not much. If the animal is processed at 1100lbs. your cost would be $843 per quarter. Processing averages about $253 per quarter. So if you bought a quarter your total cost would be roughly $1096 LESS any discounts you apply. Our quarters have ranged from $840-1215 total after processing..
Freezer Space Required:
A quarter of a beef will usually fill about 3 cu/ft of space or 3 boxes 6" deep and about 18"x24".
**Also if you apply a coupon code, we will take the discount off of your full order, even though it will show up also on your deposit.
(note: You will add promo codes in the shopping cart as you order)
